Pauline Hogstrand is a violist and composer from Northeast Sweden, Piteå, based in Copenhagen in Denmark since 2009. Hogstrand appears as an artist in various constellations; from Baroque ensembles and contemporary sceneries, to free improvising and composing electroacoustic solo works. With the viola as her main instrument, Pauline Hogstrand holds a Master's degree of Performing Arts from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and has subsequently studied a number of advanced courses specialising in baroque interpretation and electroacoustic composition at Malmö Academy of Music, as well as further classical composition course at Piteå Musikhögskola.
In 2020 Pauline Hogstrand released her debut solo album 'The Enterer' in collaboration with two Copenhagen-based labels: No Technique and Forlaget Kornmod. Áhkká is her second solo album.
